Job Description

We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design. Candidates will be assigned to specific sub-functions based on their experience.

Scope of Works / Sub-Teams:

  • Building Structural

  • Building Geotechnical & Civil sub-team

  • Facade

We are looking for high caliber professional to join our Building Engineering team in Hong Kong. To be successful in the role, you will be required to:

  • Demonstrate design and project management experience working on building structures projects

  • Possess experience in dealing with Buildings Department, Housing Authority and Architectural Services Department

  • Undertake and project-manage Structures / Geotechnical engineering schemes from feasibility through to detailed design

  • Be a client liaison involved in the production of tenders, including quality documentation and costings

  • Have knowledge in the use of structural software

  • Be creative and understand the architectural and client drivers

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • With 3-5 years of experience in design of building foundation, basement excavation and construction, and structural works.

  • Proven design and project management experience delivering to quality, time and budget

  • Previous exposure with clients of both private and public sectors, together with major contractors

  • Good understanding of local authorities’ procedures and requirements

  • Good personal effectiveness and time management

  • Overseas project experience would also be an advantage

  • Experience in BIM (Revit) is an advantage

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin required

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as an Assistant Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Structural / Geotechnical/Civil Engineering

  • MHKIE or equivalent

  • Completion of Scheme A Training is preferred for non-chartered candidates
