Job Description

AECOM's Engineering team are currently seeking a Digital Lead with a background in structures. As a Digital Lead, you will support the development and implementation of automation tools and computational design techniques. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the company's BIM standards, ensuring quality and efficiency across all BIM projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and recommend new digital tools and technologies that can improve design processes and outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to optimize design workflows.

  • Serve as the technical expert on digital tools and technologies utilized in the design of building structures.

  • Stay updated with the latest digital tools and technologies relevant to building services and incorporate them into the project’s practices & workflows.

  • Strongly analyze Building structures activities over cost and works a solution to effectively reduce the cost gaps.

  • Coordinate with other departments and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of digital tools and methodologies in projects

  • Formulate and implement strategies to automate the BIM process.

  • Ensure BIM standards and protocols are adhered to across all projects.

  • Mentoring the BIM team to ensure high standards are met in drawing presentation and the model Quality.

  • BIM Execution Plan, LOD, and other BIM related documents.

  • Perform model checks; ensure compliance with general and project specific BIM standards are met on all BIM projects.

  • Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and champion fulfillment of the plan throughout the project’s lifecycle.

  • Set up, maintenance, support and troubleshooting BIM projects.

  • Ensure general and project specific BIM processes and workflows are communicated to the design team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in digital development.

  • Technical College Diploma or University degree.

  • Expert in Autodesk Revit and Rhino.

  • Expert in Navisworks Manage, BIM360.

  • Expert in Revit API is a must.

  • Expert in Dynamo.

  • Grasshopper, Rhino common API, RhinoInside and parametric modeling skills is highly recommended.

  • Proficient with .Net framework (C# and WPF) or Python.

  • User of application programming interface such as CSI API.

  • Familiarity with interoperability between Revit and other discipline-specific software programs and tools

  • Understanding of ISO 19650 and other relevant industry BIM standards and classifications

  • Project set-up experience including the CDE, design models.

  • Experience in 3D design and multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data exchanges.

  • Ability to interact with external entities (clients, owners, agencies) to interpret and understand desired BIM or Digital delivery requirements.
