Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Engineer - Water to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will lead and oversee complex water infrastructure projects, driving sustainable solutions for our clients and the communities we serve.

  • Spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

  • Ensure project quality, timeliness, and adherence to budgets

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated water management solutions

  • Conduct advanced hydraulic modeling and analysis for complex water systems

  • Oversee environmental impact assessments for water-related projects

  • Stay current with industry trends and innovative technologies in water engineering

  • Contribute to business development efforts and proposal writing

  • Ensure compliance with local and international water regulations and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering,

  • Minimum 12 years of experience with at least 5 years in the UAE or other GCC countries.

  • Ability to lead a team of engineers to deliver medium to large-sized projects.

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for the team

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of the PS&E package.

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

  • Prepares technical specification sections.

  • Provides input to developing the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
