The Digital Engineering team is a dynamic group that focuses on delivering CAD, GIS, Design and BIM services across an array of exciting infrastructure projects. We are currently delivering major infrastructure projects across the Adelaide region and Australia, with key clients including the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and the Department of Defence. Our local team also services clients within the Mining, Energy, Environmental and Water markets. In addition to this, AECOM offers the opportunity to support our offices across ANZ and to collaborate with other geographies as part of the wider AECOM network.

Job Description

What a day in this role will look like:

  • Working as part of a dynamic consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and technical specialists working across all project phases from studies through to detailed engineering and execution.

  • Producing civil designs and associated engineering drawings via the use of AutoCAD, 12d Model and other engineering software.

  • Developing excellent drawing / model checking skills

  • Liaising with designers and the project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.

Whilst we appreciate applicants will likely be studying in conjunction with this role, we require someone able to commit to around 36 hours per week. We are willing to be flexible and help support you through your studies, however, please ensure you are able to commit to the aforementioned hours.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Basic proficiency in using AutoCAD.

  • Enrolled in or recently completed an Associate Degree of Engineering.

  • Interest in gaining Civil design knowledge through on-the-job experience.

  • High achievement levels in Maths and Science subjects.

  • As part of a Cadetship, you will be required to maintain good pass levels in your Associate Degree (external studies).
