Join AECOM's 2024 Graduate Program!

Role Overview

Joining AECOM's Graduate Program as a Graduate Mechanical Enginee r based in Al Ain, will provide the opportunity to be an integral part of our Utilities team, contributing to infrastructure and land development projects across the Al Ain Region. This role offers exposure to strategic initiatives such as underpass and road network improvements, as well as involvement in infrastructure projects supporting mega food security initiatives in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models under the guidance of experienced engineers.

  • Apply design and technical knowledge to produce high-quality outputs within project timelines.

  • Assist in maintaining project budgets and schedules under supervision.

  • Collect and analyze information from discipline-specific and interdisciplinary project BIM models.

  • Utilize computer software to solve fundamental engineering problems.

  • Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to ensure design continuity.

  • Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.

  • Ensure the quality of BIM/CAD model production by reviewing for accuracy.

  • Actively seek information, contribute to problem-solving, and drive efficiencies and effectiveness in project delivery.

  • Apply theoretical knowledge to solve atypical engineering challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with exposure to one or more of the following subjects from an accredited university:

  • Fluid Mechanics

  • Hydraulics

  • Water Supply and Sewerage

  • Hydrology

  • Preferred familiarity with the following:

  • AD QCC standard Civil

  • AACM Guidelines

  • Water GEMS hydraulic modeling software by BENTLEY, utilized for water distribution network analysis and design, featuring advanced interoperability, geospatial model building, optimization, and asset management tools.

  • Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.

  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.7 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

  • As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
