Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Primary Electrical Engineer with 4 or more years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with an international team of senior engineers and project managers on a variety of projects for multiple assets, such as: High Voltage substations, Medium Voltage distributions systems, Power facilities and many more, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies and techniques. Job Profile Summary:

  • Assist in the design and development of High Voltage Substations (up to 500kV) for a diverse stages of project.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Civil, Structural engineers, designers, and project management ensuring project success.

  • Perform modeling/CAD activities in Autocad and Microstation based on rules provided by a senior engineer.

  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with project requirements and industry standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI/AS).

  • Good knowledge of MV and HV systems: Substation Equipment, Fittings and Assemblies for HV conductors (Compression join bolted assemblies & bolted Tee Clamps / Dropper supports / Conductor Spacers & Earth Stirrups / Adaptor Plates / Earthing Termination / Fittings for Tubular busbars).

  • Producing drawings for each stage of the project: Single Line Diagrams, HV and MV Substations Equipment Layout & Sections, Cable sizing, Cable Routing and Sections, Earthing and Lightning Layouts

  • Checking equipment specification or technical data sheet for procurement purpose.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and incorporate best practices into designs.

  • Support senior engineers in project development.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Power Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years professional experience in T&D Substation design.

  • Strong knowledge of Autocad software

  • Advanced English language skills

Nice to have:

  • Good knowledge of Bentley Microstation software.

  • Knowledge of ETAP and PLS-CADD software is an advantage

  • Practical working experience with different international clients, involvement in international projects dedicated to substations in Romania and abroad at different voltage levels (from 22kV up to 500kV).

  • Good people and communication skills and ability to interact with project team members
