Job Description

We are looking for a Field Instrumentation Engineer (Design & Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in low-voltage instrumentation systems within the oil & gas, power generation, and industrial sectors . The ideal candidate should have expertise in transmitter design, system engineering, and industrial communication systems , with additional experience in industrial telecommunications and CCTV systems .

This role primarily focuses on instrumentation system design and engineering , with minimal or no involvement in procurement and construction activities . The candidate will work on global projects , collaborating with multinational companies and international teams to ensure the efficient integration of field instrumentation and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Engineering: Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and documentation for field instrumentation and low-voltage control systems.

  • Instrumentation & Transmitters: Design and specify pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters for industrial applications.

  • Industrial Telecom & CCTV: Design and integrate industrial telecommunication systems (fiber optics, SCADA, VoIP, radio communication) and CCTV security systems for plant operations.

  • Low Voltage Systems: Ensure compliance with low-voltage electrical and control systems within oil & gas and industrial plants.

  • Technical Documentation: Prepare instrument datasheets, engineering drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and control narratives .

  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISA, ATEX, API, NEC) and project requirements.

  • Interface Coordination: Work closely with control systems, electrical, and automation teams to integrate instrumentation systems with plant operations.

  • Technical Support: Provide engineering support during the commissioning phase (if required) but with no direct construction or procurement responsibilities .

  • Global Project Execution: Collaborate with multinational teams and participate in global projects for leading industrial clients.

  • Innovation & Optimization: Contribute to the development of optimized, cost-effective, and future-proof instrumentation solutions.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering (or a related field).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation and low-voltage system design for oil & gas, power generation, and industrial plants .

  • Experience in industrial telecommunications (fiber optics, SCADA, VoIP, and industrial networking) is a plus .

  • Familiarity with CCTV system design in industrial environments is highly desirable .

  • Knowledge of international instrumentation standards (IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEC, ATEX, API).

  • Experience in global projects and working with multinational teams .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering best practices .

  • ISA (International Society of Automation) Certification

  • ATEX / IECEx Certification for Hazardous Areas

  • Fiber Optic / Industrial Networking Certifications

  • CCTV & Security System Certifications
