Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified process engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for wastewater treatment. In this role, you will focus on designing and optimizing treatment processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will support our broader initiatives in wastewater treatment and management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in environmental, chemical, or process engineering, with experience in wastewater treatment processes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Wastewater Treatment Processes:
Apply wastewater treatment technologies, including primary, secondary, and tertiary processes.
Perform process calculations for treatment plant design and optimization.
Analyze influent characteristics and recommend treatment solutions.
Improve treatment efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and ensure compliance.
Support troubleshooting and performance improvements through data analysis.
Treatment Plant Design:
Assist in designing and selecting treatment equipment.
Use process modeling to evaluate and enhance plant performance.
Prepare feasibility studies, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC):
Review and verify technical drawings, reports, and process calculations.
Perform QA/QC checks on process documentation and engineering deliverables.
General Responsibilities:
Assists with specific tasks in larger engineering projects.
Collects and analyzes basic engineering data using standard methods.
Performs routine calculations and simple tests.
Adapts standard solutions to solve new problems.
Identifies and resolves inconsistencies in results.
Supports and mentors junior engineers.
Works independently within budget and schedule.
Completes key design tasks with minimal supervision.
Requires prior experience in a professional engineering role.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Hydrotechnical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering .
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in wastewater projects, including proposal writing and client liaison; Experience in wastewater treatment plants, along with a willingness to learn and develop in this field.
Skills or experience in the following areas would be an asset: process calculations and design related to the sizing of wastewater treatment plants
Strong communication skills for report writing, presentations, and verbal communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of BioWin or similar software is an advantage.
