Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Business/MBA Intern for employment in the Burnaby, BC office. AECOM is searching for candidates that has the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out financial analysis. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

  • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of financial alternatives

  • Prepare financial related calculations and develop models and presentations

  • Supporting in preparation of marketing/promotional materials, proposals and market sounding for large project pursuits

  • Review of commercial and contract terms

  • Supporting project controls group and resource projection demands

  • Supporting major project pursuits across Western Canada

  • Working closely with senior leadership on business case and financial proformas

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

About our internships:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

  • Intern 2 – completion of second year of qualified study

Minimum Requirements

  • AA/AS (US) + 1 YORE or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + 1 YORE

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field required or MBA

  • Experience with the below a plus:

  • Preparation of marketing/promotional materials or proposals

  • Review of commercial contracts

  • Forecasting/Project Controls
