Job Description

Reporting to the Claims & Contract Change Lead, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data related to claims and contract changes (cost impacts, schedule delays, etc.) including coverage and liability.

This is a 12-month temporary contract position with the potential for extension, based at a client site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing claims mitigation and preparation strategies, including document retention.

  • Responsible for facilitation and coordination of meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring effective communication between parties involved in resolving claims or implementing project changes

  • Coordinates and provides review, administration and compliance activities for industrial, commercial and government contracts/subcontracts of smaller scope and complexity.

  • Supports contract review, acceptance and compliance through one or more of the following: reviews proposed terms and conditions of a contract during the solicitation process and identifies nonstandard terms and may recommend modifications to contract language, works with project manager and client/government representative to review and resolve questions or issues related to contract compliance or terms and conditions of the contract, prepares reports related to contract spend and progress, conducts compliance reviews and ensures corrective actions are completed in a timely manner, and assists with reviews required for contract closure.

  • Employee follows standardized instructions or procedures, and works under direct supervision assisting higher-level contract administrators.

  • Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to instructions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field + 4 years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects

  • Previous contract administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration

  • Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g., mobilization, shop drawing reviews, construction, start-up and commissioning, project closeout, etc.)

  • Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications

  • Ability to work in teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong MS Office skills

Additional Information

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $120,000.00.
