AECOM’s Environment Business Line is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Civil Engineer for employment in the Burnaby, BC office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. In this role, entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GDP), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work under supervision of senior civil engineer on exisiting AECOM projects. Projects include solid waste, earth works, remediation, construction oversight, design, geotech, mining, reclamation
Work with other staff to provide services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities
Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies
Conduct training and undertake data collection , analysis and design for civil technical components related to civil infrastructure and remediation projects
Management of onsite subcontractors
Work with the team on projects, and collaborate on projects across BC, CANADA and within AECOM global activity

Bachelors degree in Civil engineering
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively
Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions
Willingness to work in remote area (mine) in Canada and US
Hands-on experience with Auto CAD
Experience in surveying
Experience in construction
St John Ambulance – Emergency First Aid – Schools – Certificate
