Job Description
AECOM is looking for motivated Structural Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure department. You will be working with our team of senior engineers, EIT's, technologists, CAD designers and project managers who focus on delivering high quality and challenging structural design projects within the water and wastewater conveyance and treatment sector.
The ideal candidate should have experience in structural design and analysis, with a strong technical background in engineering principles and software applications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for various projects, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment plants.
Prepare design calculations, reports, and construction drawings.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
Utilize structural design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit for modeling and detailing.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including CSA design codes.
Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in structural engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing in steel, concrete, wood and masonry.
Eligible for registration with EGBC as P.Eng.
Strong proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, Revit, and AutoCAD
Familiarity with CSA design codes; knowledge of ACI 350 is an asset.
Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant projects is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
Additional Information
Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00.
