Job Description
AECOM's Transportation Engineering Group in Calgary is growing! We are seeking a Roadway Drafter to work as part of a broader team delivering a range of urban and rural road and transit projects. Working within the Transportation team, this position is ideal for someone who wants to further their professional development with a leading design firm. Project types range from highways, roadways, interchanges, LRT/transit, rail and/or civil site design.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare CAD base files and drawing packages meeting client standards.
Using Civil3D to develop drawing packages for roadways, highways, intersections, transit, utilities and other transportation projects
Perform quality reviews through self- and peer-quality reviews
Efficiently work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally 2 years experience in civil drafting
Strong proficiency in Civil3D
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microstation Open Roads, InRoads and AutoTURN
2 years experience drafting on transportation projects
Experience for public sector clients including the City of Calgary and Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors
Strong skills with Microsoft Office
Member of Professional Association with ASET
Ability to work in both the in-person and virtual environment
Additional Information
Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $50,000.00 - $64,000.00.
