Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a full time Project Manager to join our growing Western Canada Environment team in Calgary, AB. We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of remediation professionals on various projects with mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial, and/or federal clients.

Job Description

  • Coordinating and supporting day-to-day tasks for Project Managers and others on the project management team.

  • Assist Project Managers with monthly workload and financial projections.

  • Assist Project Managers with project controls including project tracking, financial analysis and project billing.

  • Documentation includes reports, meeting notes, letters, and proposals.

  • Preparing presentations, reports, proposals and correspondence.

  • Managing filing systems.

  • Support for expenses, coordinates meetings, assists in the monitoring of quality control and coordinates contract execution. Liaising with clients.

  • Assist in training and onboarding new hires.

  • Acting as a point of contact for phone calls and correspondence.

  • Communicating regularly with clients and multi-disciplinary AECOM teams.

  • Manages one or more less complex projects, involving a combination of the following:

  • Other complexities, on a limited basis, such as projects that involve litigation, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) super funding, due diligence, etc.

  • Generally working under the supervision of a senior Project Manager/Program Manager or above, or a Regional Manager.

  • Within individual's area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of experience in project administration OR Technical Diploma + 6 years of experience in project administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience.

  • Proficient in the MS suite: MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00.
