Job Description

Aecom Calgary is hiring a Project Delivery Director, Alternative Delivery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as technical expert in major transportation projects, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally

  • Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of engineering engagements.

  • External spokesperson on technical engineering issues.

  • Leads the technology strategy for major transportation projects.

  • Technical point of contact for strategic clients and member of AECOM senior leadership team.

  • As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations.

  • May provide technical guidance to a modest sized group of engineers, designers, and specialists.

  • Fully versed in the project change control process and can identify a potential change.

  • Fully versed with and can check and review the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within a specific discipline.

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional engineer.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements;

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering +12 years experience in delivery of major transportation projects

  • Professional Engineer or eligible within 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally 15+ years experience in the delivery of major transportation projects in highway, bridge and transit

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $170,000.00 - $240,000.00.
