Job Description

AECOM Calgary is currently seeking a Requirement Management Lead to join our Systems Engineering and Systems Assurance Team in Ontario to work with multidisciplinary teams delivering an existing and future portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Elucidates the discipline of Systems Engineering, specifically Requirements Management, along with its techniques and processes.

  • Plans and develops relevant engineering tasks, including exploring the subject area, defining the scope, and selecting problems for investigation, as well as developing novel concepts and approaches.

  • Develops and manages planning for Requirements Management activities and projects.

  • Develops and oversees project requirements , including setting up and managing requirements management tools like DOORS NG, ensuring traceability of all project requirements, and overseeing Verification and Validation (V&V) processes.

  • Acts independently on technical matters related to the field, drawing on extensive progressive experience.

  • Works under minimal supervision ; supervision received is mostly administrative, with technical guidance provided as needed based on candidate experience.

  • Develops and implements Systems Engineering plans and processes, ensuring that project teams operate according to those standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) + 8 years of experience in requirements management

  • 8+ years experience working with Requirement Management tools such as DOORS NG or ComplyPro.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the standard IS0 15288 and its application in the railway sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to demonstrate ability and experience in formulating and implementing System Engineering plans and processes and ensuring that project teams operate in accordance with those plans and processes.

  • Preferred requirements management experience in rail & transit

  • Aerospace experience is welcome

  • Ideally 15+ years experience in requirements managements or systems engineering

  • PEng preferred

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $117,125.92 - $210,826.65.
