AECOM Electrician in Carlsbad, New Mexico

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Surface Electrician to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.
The successful candidate will perform preventive, corrective and modification maintenance on facility electrical equipment. Perform a variety of complex electrical tasks. Perform special and emergency assignments, recognizing urgency and need to complete assignments in a safe and compliant manner. Attain and maintain the qualifications and training necessary to perform field maintenance. Advise management of unusual problems or situations within assigned electrical maintenance areas and suggest appropriate solutions. Review drawings, procedures and specifications to assure compliance with code requirements. Suggest revisions as necessary. Follow all safety procedures, regulations and policies. Conduct frequent inspections of work area to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Promptly report any hazards or unsafe conditions to management. Perform similar and related duties as assigned. Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test to qualify to wear and work in a respirator.
This is a bargaining unit position.
High School Graduate or GED is required.
Five (5) years relevant electrical maintenance experience in commercial or industrial environment is required, or
Five (5) years of industrial electrical training/education.
Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.
