Job Summary

The Air Quality Compliance Team in the Chantilly, Virginia office is seeking an Entry-level Environmental Engineer for immediate employment. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Potential duties will include collection of monthly recordkeeping data

  • Calculation of air emissions, review of air quality regulations

  • Applicability assessments

  • Assistance with monthly and quarterly compliance audits

  • Preparation/organization of regulatory reports for submittal to federal and state agencies

  • Preparation of air quality permits

  • Support other environmental compliance and investigation areas including (e.g., hazardous and solid waste, radon, asbestos, Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, storm water, and multimedia sampling)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or other related field required

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Good verbal and writing skills

  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs

  • Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Valid driver’s licenses

  • Due to the nature of this position US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in performing air emissions calculations

  • Familiarity with air permitting applicability and preparation of applications

  • Knowledgeable of various NSPS and NESHAP regulations as well as Title V, ODS, and regional state regulatory programs

  • Experience working with regulators to ensure fair and favorable permits are issued
