Job Description

AECOM is actively searching for a creative, highly talented South Carolina Highway and Bridge Practice Leader for immediate employment in South Carolina. This leadership role offers the opportunity to continue our growth and shape the future of AECOM South Carolina's highway and bridge practice Our successful South Carolina Transportation Business Line has a long history of providing clients with exceptional engineering and planning services and we are looking forward to having a talented practice leader join the team. We offer the flexibility to be based in any of the AECOM South Carolina offices; Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston. We are a hybrid work environment.

Expectations:

  • Advance the vision for AECOM’s highway and bridge practice in South Carolina!

  • Champion the strategic identification, pursuit, and management of major transportation projects

  • Lead and nurture our team of skilled roadway and bridge engineers, shaping the future of transportation infrastructure

  • Partner with AECOM leaders in surface transportation, technical practice, and innovation .

  • Deliver exceptional client satisfaction

  • Strategically analyze the market and craft a distinctive value proposition for the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT)

  • Align operations with the transportation market sector business plan.

  • Accelerate business development through strategic initiatives and innovation​​​

  • Assist clients in navigating funding opportunities.

Leadership:

  • Direct design teams, project managers, and business development efforts.

  • Implement strategic pursuits, staffing decisions, and resource changes.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) plus demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

  • Ten years of progressive experience specializing in the surface transportation sector

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with client relationships

  • Experience developing key and trusted client relationships that can lead to new business

  • Experience delivering complex solutions for our clients

  • Experience in building relationships and working collaboratively across the organization

  • Experience and ability to communicate with clients through listening and persuasive services

  • Experienced in team building, influencing skills, integrity, and the experience, confidence, and stature to address client needs and challenges effectively

  • Experience as a collaborator and mentor

  • Experienced as an industry leader

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00.
