AECOM Entry Level Air Quality Engineer / Dispersion Modeler in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Air Quality Engineer for employment in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts office. The Air Quality Engineering and Studies Department is primarily responsible for supporting industry with air quality compliance issues and providing technical assistance in securing air permits to construct and operate sources of air pollution. The business is driven by the Federal Clean Air Act and implementing regulations at the federal and state levels.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performing air emission inventories
Conducting air pollution control technology evaluations
Preparing air permit applications
Data base management
Calculation of air pollutant source emissions using Environmental Protection Agency procedures, regulatory analysis and technical report preparation
Air quality dispersion modeling using various Gaussian-and Lagrangian-based models
Processing of geophysical and meteorological data for input to dispersion models
Interpreting modeling results.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. or advanced degree in chemical/environmental engineering or meteorology/atmospheric science
Experience with GIS and Lakes Environmental software packages and FORTRAN programming is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, PowerPoint, Excel)
