AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Landscape Architect Designer for immediate employment in the Chelmsford, MA office. Our design practice provides a small studio feel with the resources and exposure available to us by being part of a multidisciplinary office including urban design, civil/site engineering, environmental remediation, architecture, and planning. While our group is based in Chelmsford, we support the northeast region, including our office in Boston.
AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. You will gain experience in your discipline through learning on the job and participate in development opportunities during the program, including access to AECOM's social media resources, group mentoring, and professional networking. The program also has learning activities that will be available to you, including webinars and on-line programs.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Works in collaboration with other designers on a wide array of projects ranging from streetscapes, urban spaces, and environmental remediation to transit and highway projects.
Prepares documents and graphics for all phases of landscape architectural design, inclusive of site analysis, master planning, schematic design, design development and construction documents
Generate two dimensional and three dimensional design graphics
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
3D model and rendering skills
Proficiency and passion for creating compelling design, with an ability to develop the work through the technical design phases
Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency
Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
Construction administration experience/background
Experience in In-Design and/or ArcGIS
Strong knowledge/interest in plant materials
