AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Pavement Engineer to work out of our Chelmsford, MA office as part of the transportation department's Pavement Engineering Group. You will join a team of over a dozen pavement engineers who strive to bring innovative solutions to clients all over the US.

Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer, you will:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Experience with multiple elements of pavement engineering, including but not limited to the following are preferred:
Pavement distress surveys
Construction inspection / field experience (of any type)
Development of plans, specifications and cost estimates for pavement design projects
Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or other related field required
EIT Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 3 months
Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (CADD, ArcGIS, PAVER, FAARFIELD)
Ability to work productively and enthusiastically in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Detail oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project
Ability to travel throughout the US and overseas (travel up to 50% of the year)
Must have US driver’s license and second form of government issued ID
