Job Description
AECOM is seeking a seasoned Senior Environmental Permitting Project Manager within our Environmental Planning & Permitting (EPP) Practice in the Northeast US.
This role is to support our Power/Electric Transmission market sector, state/local, federal and industrial client sectors. Particular focus will be leading, managing and executing projects supporting electrical transmission infrastructure, renewables including offshore wind interconnects and solar development projects. The Position is based in Massachusetts and can be remote.
Specific prior experience supporting natural resources field studies, surveys and env. permitting of electrical transmission projects required with particular focus in Massachusetts, CT, RI and NH highly desirable. This role requires Siting and Permitting Technical Expertise including Energy Siting Applications for energy infrastructure in Massachusetts (other states desired), managing multidisciplinary project teams and complete project execution from initial screening, Siting, Permitting and Construction Environmental Inspection. Demonstrated experience with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act Regulations, MEPA, S. 404/401 and strong writing and verbal communications skills desired. Prior work in the Offshore Wind Energy Permitting Realm desired along with understanding the permitting of linear facilities in terrestrial and marine environments. Prior experience supporting wetlands delineation, T&E surveys and GIS background desirable.
Prior experience in task and project management, client engagement and business development/proposal preparation desirable.
The candidate will be joining one of the strongest and deepest EPP Teams in the northeast with an extensive backlog of project work in multiple client sectors and a strong presence in the renewable energy arena, in particular Offshore Wind Energy Permitting. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geology or related field + 10 years-experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
US Citizenship is Required.
Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Science related studies desirable and 12 + years of experience.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $165,000.00.
