Job Description

Our award-winning Ohio-based urban design, landscape architecture, and planning practice is seeking a mid-level landscape architect who has a passion for working on transformational civic-oriented projects. The successful candidate will work on projects with a wide range or scales, some of which will be local and others that may be in other locales across the Midwest. Regardless of project location, the successful candidate must be a strategic thinker that possesses excellent communication and organizational skills and have a willingness and excitement to collaborate across a wide range of AECOM’s multi-disciplinary platform. This role is to be based in Cleveland, OH.

The successful candidate will understand the value of leveraging the design platform that AECOM offers, which is access and collaboration with industry leading designers and technical experts in nearly every design and engineering field. The current and near-term projects that this position would support will be transformational to the communities in which they exist.

Internally, this position will provide the opportunity to serve as an integral part of a growing planning and design practice that includes planners, landscape architects, architects, interior designers, engineers, and business development professionals. The position will require the ability to present and clearly articulate design visions, concepts, internally and externally, as a function of facilitating the overall design process for complex multi-layered design problems and solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture or related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Professional landscape architecture licensed in the State of Ohio

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design

  • 6+ years of professional experience

  • Proficiency in Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite, and atleast one of the following 3D modeling and rendering platforms (revit, rhino, sketchup, enscape, Lumion, etc

  • Support the further development of a design studio culture

  • Collaborator & Integrator

  • Project or task management experience

  • Professional licensure within the state of Ohio

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Proficiency in creating hand sketches for the purpose of facilitating design workshops and quickly communicating design ideas

  • Familiarity with and some past participation with business development activities such as marketing, proposals and client development.

  • Excellent internal and external design communication

  • Excellent written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, presenting, and critical thinking skills.

  • Non-mandatory participation in civic-minded organizations

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $67,000.00 - $77,000.00.
