We are seeking a highly skilled MEP BIM Specialist to join our team in Bukit Damansara, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects.
Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of MEP systems
Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts between different building systems
Create and manage BIM content libraries for MEP components
Analyze and optimize MEP designs for efficiency and performance
Generate accurate quantity take-offs and schedules from BIM models
Collaborate with project teams to implement BIM standards and best practices
Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends
Works under general supervision performing advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers.
May be responsible for all or part of a project.
May train and supervise work flow.
Qualifications
A high school degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience in MEP BIM modeling and coordination is required
Experience with BIM software, particularly Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP
Strong knowledge of MEP systems design principles and integration
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
