Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our esteemed organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for critical infrastructure and building electrical designs, with a focus on delivering exceptional results in a demanding environment.

  • Develop and execute complex electrical designs for infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on building and master planning electrical systems.

  • Design and optimize electrical networks, with particular emphasis on Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems. Expertise in High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems is highly advantageous.

  • Create sophisticated lighting systems for exterior areas, including roads and underpasses, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and strict adherence to authority regulations, including QCS, KME, PWA, and other relevant international standards.

  • Apply expertise in infrastructure utilities, including corridor reservation, telecommunication backbones, and Intelligent Transport Systems.

  • Utilize advanced software tools, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with proficiency in Revit and BIM360 considered valuable assets.

  • Employ specialized automated software such as AMTECH, DIALUX, and ETAP to ensure precision and efficiency in design processes.

  • Engage in high-level coordination with stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • Contribute additional expertise in critical areas such as motor control centres, substations, and security infrastructure design.

  • Maintain a commitment to continuous professional development, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience in electrical design for critical infrastructure and building projects, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
