Job Description
Design Leadership
Oversee design development and delivery, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and D&B contract standards.
Provide creative direction and mentorship to the design team, fostering innovation and excellence in all design outputs.
Stakeholder Coordination
Lead the PMCM technical team and act as the primary liaison between the contractor's design team, and the client to resolve design issues and align expectations.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and construction teams.
Compliance and Integration
Ensure designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and aviation requirements while integrating various disciplines seamlessly.
Stay updated on evolving industry standards and incorporate best practices into design processes.
Risk and Quality Management
Identify and mitigate design risks, manage claims/variations, and uphold quality through regular reviews and audits.
Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance program for all design deliverables.
Project Planning and Execution
Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets for design phases.
Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure timely completion of design milestones.
Technology Integration
- Champion the adoption and implementation of cutting-edge design technologies and software to enhance efficiency and innovation in project delivery.
Sustainability and Environmental Considerations
- Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmentally friendly practices into all projects, with a focus on energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to deliver tailored design solutions that exceed their requirements.
Specialized Facility Design
Oversee the design of specialized aviation facilities, including:
Cargo facilities
Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities
Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) facilities at airports globally
Qualifications
Candidate must possess a recognized degree in Architecture or Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of overall professional experience is required, including at least 10 years of substantial experience in the aviation industry.
Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of site-based experience, preferably within aviation or related infrastructure projects.
