Job Description

AECOM's Architecture + Interiors studio, is currently seeking an experienced Associate Director of Interior Design to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee and guide innovative interior design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients across the Middle East.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and architects, fostering creativity and professional growth

  • Develop and implement design strategies aligned with client objectives and project requirements

  • Oversee multiple large-scale interior design projects from concept to completion

  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success and client satisfaction

  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and revisions as needed

  • Ensure compliance with regional building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively

  • Stay current with industry trends and innovative design solutions to maintain a competitive edge

  • Contribute to business development efforts and cultivate client relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in interior design and architecture, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects

  • Professional certification in interior design preferred

  • Proficiency in interior design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D Max

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing design teams

  • Understanding of sustainable design practices and their implementation

  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse interior design projects
