Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marine Inspector to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Marine Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and seaworthiness of various marine vessels and structures.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of marine vessels, including hull structures, propulsion systems, and safety equipment

  • Assess compliance with local and international maritime regulations and standards

  • Utilize advanced inspection techniques and equipment to identify potential issues or defects

  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing findings and recommendations

  • Collaborate with shipowners, operators, and regulatory bodies to address compliance issues

  • Stay updated on the latest maritime regulations and inspection methodologies

  • Participate in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and protocols

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior inspectors and team members

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all inspection activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine inspection or a related maritime role

  • Relevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, API, ABS)

  • In-depth knowledge of marine vessel structures, systems, and components

  • Strong understanding of maritime industry regulations and standards

  • Proficiency in various inspection techniques and equipment

  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel and work in various marine environments

  • Physical capability to access and inspect all areas of marine vessels

  • Proficiency in computer applications for report writing and data analysis
