Job Description

AECOM are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Associate of Landscape Architecture to join our growing Urbanism + Planning studio, based in Dubai. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you. As a Senior Associate at AECOM, you will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation of strategic initiatives for teams or units within the Landscape Studio. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing project delivery, ensuring positive outcomes, and contributing to the development of high-quality designs. Collaborating closely with Directors, you will actively participate in the formulation and execution of business development plans and marketing activities. This involves cultivating a strong market presence, expanding our client base, and securing future planning and design projects for the Landscape practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the management and delivery of high value complex multi-disciplinary projects, with the ability to work directly with the Associate Director and Director levels.

  • Provide design and technical direction on projects to ensure high quality of design work.

  • Be a technical lead for large-scale projects with a strong capability to coordinate multiple disciplines and communicate such requirements.

  • Work with key client accounts leading client and project meetings. Has the ability to independently manage client expectations and deliverables to ensure alignment with contracted scope.

  • Lead and facilitates key client workshops and board of directors/CEO’s presentations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead competition submissions.

  • Plan and conduct design and creative review sessions for ongoing projects and competitions.

  • Evidence of delivering design projects to site. Understands construction programs and site team requirements in terms of appropriate resources to provide design, technical and site-based support.

  • Expected to hold regular and scheduled internal project reviews based on design appropriateness, technical accuracy and buildability, construction budget and overall package quality and thoroughness.

  • Manage project financials and deliverables

  • Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary bids, proposals and establishing winning themes and defining differentiators. Understands pricing and qualification aspects and establish price winning

  • strategies.

  • Managing and mentor staff through career path, establishing plans for short- and long-term development goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urbanism, or other relevant area of expertise.

  • Minimum 14+ years of experience

  • Registered professional.

  • Demonstrate expertise or can operate programs in: parametric modelling, BIM, project management.
