Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Engineer specializing in Bridges and Underpasses to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our site team, you will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of complex bridge and underpass projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Develop and execute structural designs for bridges and underpasses
Perform complex structural analysis and calculations for various bridge and underpass components
Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for bridge and underpass projects
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of structural elements with other project components
Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for inspections and test plans
Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and address any structural concerns
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in bridge and underpass engineering
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within budget and schedule constraints
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and underpasses
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
Strong understanding of international bridge design codes and standards
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE
Knowledge of seismic design principles for bridges and underpasses
RTA Pre-Approval is highly desirable
Professional engineering license or equivalent certification is a plus
