Job Description

The Total Rewards Lead will lead and manage the compensation and benefits framework for the Middle East, ensuring competitive, sustainable, and effective rewards programs that attract and retain top talent. This role involves strategic partnership, project management, and operational execution in both benefits and rewards systems.

Responsibilities:

Benefits:

  • Lead the renewal of healthcare, life and disability insurance, maintaining strong relationships with providers, brokers, and consultants.

  • Negotiate contracts, oversee service levels, and ensure programs are cost-effective and competitive.

  • Collaborate with vendors to enhance benefits programs and elevate the employee experience.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of existing benefits, identify improvement opportunities, and develop innovative, strategic solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices to continuously improve benefits offerings.

  • Oversee the implementation of new or modified benefits programs, including developing communication strategies and conducting employee education sessions.

  • Promote wellness initiatives and employee assistance programs, fostering a supportive work environment.

  • Develop and periodically update policies related to employee benefits and rewards.

  • Conduct global inventory and benchmarking of benefits, leveraging the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to educate leaders and HR teams about benefits offerings in the Middle East, enhancing talent attraction and retention.

Rewards:

  • Lead the annual salary review and annual bonus review processes, including salary benchmarking, and merit increase recommendations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with regulatory, budgetary requirements and company strategy.

  • Provide strategic guidance on salary and incentive proposals, job structuring, and compensation guidelines to HR managers and business leaders.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation levels, benefits, and incentive structures against industry standards and competitors.

  • Manage and track the Out of Cycle (OOC) adjustments for reporting and budget analysis.

  • Manage and update all company policy linked to benefits including the recognition policy.

  • Participate in annual surveys and market analysis using Willis Towers Watson (WTW) and/or Mercer benchmarks to remain competitive.

  • Continuously update the Middle East market pay ranges to support data-driven compensation reviews, promotions, and progression processes.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Senior leader on the global Total Rewards team.

  • Key COE collaborator responsible for driving consultative, strategic partnership across the enterprise.

  • Cleary and consistently defining the handoff between the function enablement, delivery, and HR operations teams.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline

Additional Information

  • 10 years of relevant experience including leading compensation and benefits within large, complex, global organization.

  • Experience in managing annual salary and bonus cycles within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Extensive experience leading all aspects of health and well-being programs for the Middle East region.

  • Strategic partner with a collaborative approach, capable of driving initiatives across the enterprise.

  • Experience with Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and vendor management for benefit renewals.

  • Lead benchmarking of current compensation practices to guide senior management in projecting future needs to remain equitable and competitive.

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of benefits practices, with the ability to navigate a complex landscape of regulatory requirements, labor laws across (GCC) region.

  • Proficient in Excel and capable of identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and to grasp big picture concepts as well as details; demonstrated business and financial acumen to translate the needs of core business functions into solutions.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
