Job Description

AECOM's Environment business line is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Design Technologist in its Edmonton, AB office. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the delivery of small to large scale civil development and remediation projects in the Waste Management, Oil & Gas, and Mining Sectors. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. You will require a high level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm for getting things done while being encouraged to expand skill sets to meet your career goals. You will have formal training and an understanding of civil engineering technology, including the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Duties will include, but not limited to, preparation of civil design models and drawings, quantity calculations, as well as figures for design projects and reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Diploma, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design Drafting with 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 5+ years of relative experience.

  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • CET designation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of design and drawing presentation standards.

  • Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a deadline driven team environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Timeliness and accuracy in completing tasks.

  • Strong team focus, willing to support other team members.

  • Previous environmental engineering experience highly regarded.

  • ArcGIS experience considered an asset.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $90,000.00.
