Job Description

What your new role will entail;

Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in the South West are looking for a Civils Team Leader to join our growing teams within our Exeter, Bristol or Cardiff office. The team are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (Wessex Water, Welsh Water, South West Water locally), contractors and international projects. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career as a technical team leader, delivering solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the technical challenges of today and tomorrow.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Lead : Technical delivery of key wastewater and water infrastructure / treatment projects, manage resources of a team of approximately 10 civil engineers to deliver value added solutions to client challenges throughout the design lifecycle.

  • Expertise : Provide technical expertise to the design team on all aspects of civil projects, from conceptual to implementation,

  • Quality : Check and review calculations, technical reports, drawings and models to ensure that they adhere to relevant standards, specifications and procedures,

  • Collaborate : With client and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholder buy in to solutions, also contributing to AECOMs wider technical capability and innovative approach .

Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver a variety of interesting small and large projects from concept to delivery . Qualifications

Here's what we will need from you;

  • Experience in designing and managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater networks and treatment projects from feasibility and outline design to detailed design and construction support

  • Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams, clients and stakeholders

  • Commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets,

  • A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject

  • Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status)
