Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking an Electrician Journeyman with E&I Planning experience to join our SUNCOR Firebag project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Full-Time position on a 14/14 shift rotation unless otherwise specified.

Approximate duration: Permanent/Full-Time
Location: 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Travel: Charter flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton , and bus from Fort McMurray
Accommodation: Camp accommodation will be provided to all workers
Overtime Eligibility: All craft will be eligible for overtime
CLAC Union agreement in place; with competitive rates
Electricians install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures and premises.
Electrician Journeyman will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
Provide expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Trades for planning activities, if and when required
Able to work as the sole Planner for a single or multiple disciplines, if and when required
Provide technical recommendations, if and when required.
Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring
Expertly identify and able to proficiently install almost all material components
Expert conduit skills
Expert with circuitry planning and installations
Expertly read and comprehend drawings and specifications
Expert control systems planning and installation
Expert tool usage, both personal (personal tools minimum listed below) and supplied:
Tool pouch
Side cutters
Wire strippers
Philips screwdriver
Hacksaw
Stakon pliers
Linesman pliers
Water pump pliers
Chanel locks
Tape measure
Needle nose pliers
#6 screwdriver – Robertson
#8 screwdriver – Robertson

Proficient multi-meter, Meggar, Phase Rotation meter and AMP-Meter usage
Proficiency in ARC Flash awareness
Mentor junior apprentices

Minimum Requirements
Journeyman Certification required
Field execution Planning and Scheduling activities experience is required
Previous Maintenance Services experience required (e.g. Steady state, Turnaround, Shutdown, Outage, etc.)
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team
Preferred Qualifications
A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
Red Seal preferred or required by provincial regulations and standards
