We are looking for Contaminated Land Consultant / Environmental Geoscientist / Hydrogeologist to join our team.
The role involves working on a broad range of challenging contaminated land and groundwater projects in a range of sectors, with a mix of fieldwork and office work. You will be given the opportunity to work on a wide range of client sites, collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors and clients.
Within the Contaminated Land sector, you will work on varying projects completing Preliminary Site Investigations (PSIs), development of Sample and Analysis Quality Plans (SAQPs), completion of Detailed Site Investigations (DSIs), Groundwater Monitoring Events (GMEs), Underground Petroleum Storage System (UPSS) upgrades and remediation supervision. The roles will include completing site investigation and collection of environmental samples, supervision of subcontractors, responsibility for safety and quality, data management and reporting.
Within the Upstream Oil & Gas sector across Queensland and New South Wales, you will be executing various hydrogeological projects including but not limited to; bore assessments, aquifer test campaigns, drilling programs, and GMEs. You will have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of subcontractors, including drilling contractors, wireline contractors and pumping test contractors.

Job Description
What will a day in this role look like:
Oversee project-level health and safety, conduct desktop reviews, prepare environmental reports, and manage safety and environmental compliance on-site.
Plan, schedule, and manage site works, including subcontractor coordination, site contamination, and hydrogeological investigations in various locations.
Collect and manage environmental samples, perform data analysis, and interpret results using relevant software tools.
Act as Site Manager, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining site documentation, and logging geological data to required standards.
Office based tasks include assisting in project management tasks, project controls and financial tracking, as wells as technical report writing and management of deliverables.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
We are looking for candidates with energy and enthusiasm who enjoy working collaboratively with a great team of people to provide solutions to our clients.
Tertiary qualification in environmental science, geoscience, geology, engineering, or hydrogeology.
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in contaminated land management and/or hydrogeology, with a focus on safety and subcontractor management.
Strong skills in data management using industry-standard tools and project/proposal management.
Willingness to work remotely on client sites; a valid driver’s license is essential.
