Job Description
Join AECOM’s Transport Group in South-East Queensland as a Technical Director, with a strong focus on design management. You will step into a dynamic role that blends leadership, innovation and project delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a talented multidisciplinary group of professionals as a project leader for the delivery of complex, region-shaping projects.
What will a day in this role look like:
Lead design and coordination of major transport infrastructure projects, focusing on technical management and relationships.
Collaborate with an industry-leading team on large-scale transport projects across Queensland and Australia.
Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and partners.
Drive productivity and innovation by leading digital delivery initiatives and integrating cutting-edge technologies.
Qualifications
What are we looking for from you? * *
Tertiary qualification in engineering with 20+ years of experience, suitable to hold (or obtain) RPEQ status in Queensland.
Proven experience as Design Manager for major transport infrastructure projects, including work with TMR.
Knowledge of the Queensland consulting services market, including Business Cases, D&C, and ECI/ETI delivery.
Strong leadership with a focus on achieving results, growing teams, and balancing priorities.
Excellent client relationships, business development experience, and understanding of resourcing planning and forecasting.
