Job Description
AECOM is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to support the East Region in our pursuit and delivery of public sector services that focus on the growing infrastructure resiliency market. The desire is to identify an individual with extensive expertise in hazard mitigation and strategic leadership to develop comprehensive resilience strategies for infrastructure systems. They effectively manage large teams and complex federal investments, ensuring the integration of leading-edge solutions with policy and technology to safeguard infrastructure against emerging threats. Their approach will focus on fostering collaboration across government levels, enhancing community preparedness, and driving impactful, sustainable outcomes.
The Infrastructure Resiliency Practice Lead will spearhead initiatives focused on enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure systems. Collaborating closely with the region's business line leader, growth leads, and Profit & Loss (department) managers, this role will provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients throughout the execution of various projects. The main objective is to drive growth in the Infrastructure Resiliency practice in the East Region while engaging with clients and industry stakeholders to identify and pursue new opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the East Region Water’s infrastructure resiliency activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, enhancing their capabilities in infrastructure resilience during project execution.
Drive the growth and development of the Infrastructure Resiliency practice through strategic planning and effective sales of services to relevant market sectors.
Utilize extensive knowledge of business offerings to foster cross-discipline collaboration within the organization.
Identify and anticipate emerging opportunities and trends in infrastructure resiliency and adjacent market sectors.
Serve as the technical authority on resiliency projects and implementation of innovative solutions.
Offer technical support to other projects with an infrastructure resiliency focus.
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, industry groups, and stakeholders, positioning the firm as a leader in resiliency solutions.
Lead major pursuits by developing and overseeing capture plans that align with business development strategies and technical capabilities.
Collaborate with technical experts across the organization to enhance and support project pursuits.
Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure satisfaction with services and collaborate with project delivery teams to address service-related issues swiftly.
Manage and develop team members in line with the organization's core values and performance competencies, focusing on talent development and performance management.
Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, ensuring client focus, commitment to excellence, and high team morale and engagement.
Provide insights on business development expenditures and priorities based on market trends and shifts.
Continuously expand a strong professional network through personal connections, conference involvement, and strategic initiatives to advance the organization's goals in infrastructure resiliency.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Environmental Science, Resiliency, Water Resources or related degree, plus 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Proven experience in infrastructure resiliency and risk management.
Demonstrated experience in identifying market trends and anticipating client needs.
Documented leadership in managing multi-billion-dollar resiliency grant programs, to include but not limited to, Federal, State, Local and Industrial Infrastructure funding streams.
Proven track record of cultivating consulting services delivery, from market assessment to client engagement, securing a contract and delivering results that achieve or exceed client expectations.
Position may require travel on an as-needed basis.
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in a resiliency-related field of study, to include but not limited to, urban design and planning.
Ability and desire to work with and mentor key employees.
Attained the Certified Emergency Management (CEM) credential
Demonstrated leadership attributes that provide role modelling for others.
Ability to build consensus to change program strategy in challenging situations.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $200,000.00 - $250,000.00.
