Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to be based in Honolulu, HI.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction, program management, and engineering support services for the Department of Transportation Airports Division (DOT-A) Engineering Airside Section (AIREA).

  • Coordinate with AIR-EA, AIR-EC, and AIR-EM contractors for project schedules, statuses, budgets, contract drafting and maintenance, permit, planning and Federal Administration Aviation (FAA) coordination and requirements.

  • Review of Hawaii Environmental Policy Act (HEPA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation on behalf of the AIR-EA Section.

  • Developing of AIR-EA projects, project descriptions, project scopes, fee estimates, ACIP data sheet development, concurrence forms, etc.

  • Review of Construction Safety and Phasing Plans (CSPP) and plan sets of other contractors.

  • Participation in Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) meetings (pre- and panel meetings) as subject matter expert. Assisting AIR-EA in FAA Airport Improvements Program grant reporting and grant applications.

  • Supporting AIR-EA on a variety of studies and analyses as requested.

  • Providing and maintaining an airfield master schedule, runway closure schedule, and construction updates posted to the DOT Airports Website.

  • May telecommute.

  • 15% travel required nationally at various unanticipated client sites nationally.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a project management related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe pdf products, and Microsoft Project.

  2. Developing and maintaining web hosting platforms.

  3. Cost control, estimating, and general engineering design/practices specific to airport and airfield projects.

  4. Developing contract amendment files, change orders, field orders, delivery orders, request for proposal files.

  5. Develop project descriptions for airport projects, fee estimates, airport capital improvement program data sheets, concurrence forms.

  6. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, project owner specifications, and request for information files.

  7. Preparation of project status reports, meeting minutes, and weekly updates for airfield projects.

  8. Lead project meetings with contractors and stakeholders.

  9. Reviewing and understanding Construction Safety and Phasing Plans for airport related projects.

  10. Required to have completed the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach.

  11. Construction management experience working on Airport projects.

  12. Construction Management experience on projects valued at $20M and greater.

  13. Project Management Information System (PMIS) and Construction Management Information System (CMIS) software applications and processes or Delivery, including CMAR or Design Build Delivery models.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $78,083.00 - $133,810.00.
