Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Environmental Planner for employment in the Honolulu, HI office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide researching and technical writing for a variety of environmental regulatory documents such as environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, and other compliance documents

  • Assist on a variety of environmental studies for infrastructure projects including power, water, transportation, and development-related projects

  • Prepare materials and graphics in support of environmental, planning, landscape architecture, and community outreach projects

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Sciences or related degree (e.g., environmental studies, geography, planning, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess environmental impacts with increasing responsibilities

  • Strong research abilities

  • ​Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must possess a valid driver's license​

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Sciences or related degree (e.g., environmental studies, geography, planning, etc.)

  • Familiarity with GIS software

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project
