Job Description
AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our Hawaii office.
This position is expected to begin in spring or summer 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work under the direct supervision of a Senior GIS Specialist
Conduct research in SHPD library reports, files, and electronic databases to identify and update missing information in the database and GIS data.
Create various shapefiles and attribute tables.
Assist archaeology staff in identifying geographic areas and or specific TMKs that should be flagged for higher levels of review.
Assist archaeologists and architectural historians with database searches and figure production.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Archaeology, Geography, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Computer Science, Architectural History, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ArcGIS Software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Experience with geoprocessing tasks using Esri Model Builder and Python but not required.
Knowledge of and or interest in archaeology, anthropology, cultural resources, or architectural history.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $50,000.00 - $68,000.00.
