AECOM France

AECOM in France consists of approximately 160 employees and operates from 6 agencies including Paris (la Garenne-Colombes) where the position is based at. Services delivered countrywide include Environmental Consultancy (remediation and environmental permitting) PPP Advisory and PMCM.

Job Description

As a Junior Cost Manager, you are required to support the Lead Cost Manager with the project cost estimations, cost control, evaluation of executed works, checks and approvals of Contractor’s invoices, change management and relevant reporting as well as with cost control reviews during the construction.

Responsibilities

  • Cost estimations build up at different stages

  • reviews and assessment of project costs trends, corrective actions

  • Identification of value engineering

  • Manage material reconciliation process

  • Analysis of commercial valuations

  • Review tenders from suppliers/subcontractors/sub-consultants

  • Value / Cost advice, Variation process coordination

  • Contractor payment schedule

  • Interim Payment certificates review

  • Final accounts review

  • Assist with the Preparation of Change Orders for approval by the Client

  • Client’s changes evaluation

  • Analyse and Process Claims

  • Review, assess and comment on Claims for Extension of Time

  • Change order management

  • Cost reporting

  • Carrying out audits on Sub-contractors and suppliers as and when required

  • Final cost report and data extraction for benchmarking

  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned

Deliverables

  • Updating the Change Order register

  • Assist with the Preparation of the Project Budget

  • Assist with maintaining the Cash Flow Forecast

  • Maintain a list of current reputable Sub-Contractors and Suppliers

  • Set out a list of Sub-Contract packages required.

  • Assist with the Preparation of the Main and Sub-Contract Tender Documents

  • Review design information prior to release and prepare change order if time or cost implications are identified

  • Review all Correspondence / Transmittals / Submittals and assist with appropriate responses

  • Assist in Monthly Valuations and Supporting Documents

  • Assist with the Submittal of information for monthly report

  • Assist with the Preparation of the Final account

  • Assist with the Preparation of the audit reports where required

  • Prepare other reports as may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or relevant disciplines

  • Fluent in French and English

  • French market knowledge

  • A least a first experience in Cost Management or Quantity Surveyor

  • Ability to work with tight timelines

  • Ability to work as a team

  • Customer focus (both internal and external)

  • Office suite skills

As a Junior Cost Manager your prime role is to support projects with the description above. You will also support the growth of the Cost Management Business grows in France and help develop multidisciplinary projects across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
