AECOM Mechanical Intern in Los Angeles, California

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern for employment in the Los Angeles, CA office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to take direction, think critically, and learn from others and/or independently while maintaining focus on project goals and client needs.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist building heating and cooling in load calculations

  • Assist in Revit ductwork and piping layouts

  • Assist in equipment selections and evaluations from vendors

  • Assist in pressure drop calculations for both ductwork and piping systems

  • Support Sr Engineers with reports and other calculations

  • Support Sr Engineers on site walks

Minimum Requirements

AA/AS (US) + None or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + None

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program at an ABET accredited college or university

  • Proficient in Excel and Word

  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources

  • Ability to think critically

  • Uses and manages time efficiently

  • Clear communication skills

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Working knowledge of Revit

  • Experience with Energy Modeling
