Job Description

AECOM Hunt is seeking an energetic, team-oriented, collaborative business builder and dynamic leader to support the expansion of our Southern California Construction business for the Senior Vice President / Southern CA Area Manager position . This position with be located at our downtown Los Angeles office.

Job Summary:

  • Demonstrate a history of building business, generating growth and inspiring a growth-minded team - building business.

  • Responsible for creation and implementation of regional business strategy, business administration and leadership of regional office, including business development, marketing, preconstruction, project delivery and overall financial performance.

  • Responsible for client/project development, networking, business development and leadership of project pursuits.

  • Responsible for resource management as it relates to contract administration and project execution for successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.

  • Responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.

  • Monitor financial performance, assess financial risks, and make strategic decisions to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Responsible for overall regional performance including profit and loss of all projects.

  • Provide leadership centered upon AECOM’s core values: Safeguard, Innovate, Collaborate, Deliver, Sustain, Thrive

  • Responsible for identifying, recruiting, and training new employees as needed to support business operations.

Relationship Building:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.

  • Experience in leading and driving organizational change initiatives.

  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to evolving business needs.

Financial Acumen:

  • Ability to understand and analyze financial statements and key performance indicators.

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + extensive years of experience supporting construction projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience supporting construction projects and/or education, including 6 years of leadership.

  • Be able to indicate a substantial portfolio of commercial work

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrative ability to deliver on projects that are valued at a half a billion dollars or more

  • Experience with sports, aviation, convention center projects are preferred

  • Fundamental knowledge of CA Construction law and regulations is preferred

  • Knowledge of public procurement is preferred

Additional Information

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.

  • Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $275,000.00 - $350,000.00.
