AECOM Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Summary

The Environment Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Louisville, KY office. The appropriately qualified applicant should have a strong desire to establish a career in civil and/or environmental engineering, and will be expected to provide support to the civil and environmental engineering staff as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of various types of civil and environmental engineering projects that include planning, evaluation, design, and construction. All while under the direction of an experienced civil/environmental engineer.

  • Mathematical calculations, data analysis, plan and report preparation, evaluation of alternatives, composition of data summaries, and drafting (within AutoCAD Civil 3D).

  • Perform entry level work while following instructions to accomplish tasks assigned to them by senior staff, all while meeting required schedules and quality checks.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited degree from a Civil/Environmental Engineering Program.

  • Ability to obtain the Fundamentals of Engineering credential (FE or EIT).

  • Effective communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work on both design and construction teams working on civil and environmental engineering projects.

  • MS Office and Auto Cad literate.

  • Experience with ability to produce drawings required.

  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to high quality work performance.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
