Job Description
The Building + Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical CAD Technologist/ Electrical BIM Modeller (Revit) for immediate employment in the Markham office.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have proven experience, working on the digital delivery of building projects including documentation and data deliverables, an understanding of Electrical engineering technology, CAD, and is familiar with the electrical design of commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. Your proficiency in using Revit, BIM360 and other digital tools to deliver detailed design documentation coupled with your experience in working successfully across multidisciplinary teams across a variety of building projects will be highly regarded. Project assignments may include, although not limited to, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, water / waste water and transit facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
CAD operating and designing for Electrical systems using Revit, MicroStation and AutoCAD
Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
Preparing Electrical design drawings
Preparing documentation for design projects and reports
Undertaking quality control procedures
Working within a team environment and being able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
Assuring that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action, and supporting timeliness of resolution effort
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have no less than:
- College Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant field of study.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
Relevant experience using Revit and AutoCAD (version 2010 or later) and 3D capable.
Basic design skills in lighting, power and fire alarm
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent attention to detail
Possess excellent written and communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $50,000.00 - $75,000.00.
