Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated CAD Designer for full-time employment that can be based in one of our GTA offices (Markham or Mississauga). The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented group on a wide variety of different municipal water projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working under the direction of engineers and project managers

  • Preparing engineering drawings with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit

  • Preparing plan and profile, plant roads, grading and drainage design and plant piping, and other wastewater treatment plant civil structures from conceptual to final design

  • Coordinating project drawings with project managers, engineers, and collaborating with other disciplines.

  • Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner and conform to CAD standards

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of relevant experience OR Diploma/Certificate + 6 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in civil/municipal design such as site servicing, grading, water or wastewater treatment plant piping and grading

  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D Experience in Autodesk design software: Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, Plant 3D P&ID,

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years overall experience

  • Ability to write construction specifications

  • Contract administration support such as answering RFIs and reviewing shop drawings

  • Experience in managing project cloud storage solutions such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise

  • Experience setting project drafting and modelling standards

  • Experience managing electronic design files and assembling drawing/model submission packages

  • Experience running multidiscipline design coordination meetings for clash detection Site inspection and surveying experience

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $78,000.00 - $115,000.00.
