Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated CAD Designer for full-time employment that can be based in one of our GTA offices (Markham or Mississauga). The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented group on a wide variety of different municipal water projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working under the direction of engineers and project managers
Preparing engineering drawings with the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
Preparing plan and profile, plant roads, grading and drainage design and plant piping, and other wastewater treatment plant civil structures from conceptual to final design
Coordinating project drawings with project managers, engineers, and collaborating with other disciplines.
Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner and conform to CAD standards
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of relevant experience OR Diploma/Certificate + 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in civil/municipal design such as site servicing, grading, water or wastewater treatment plant piping and grading
Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D Experience in Autodesk design software: Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, Plant 3D P&ID,
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years overall experience
Ability to write construction specifications
Contract administration support such as answering RFIs and reviewing shop drawings
Experience in managing project cloud storage solutions such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise
Experience setting project drafting and modelling standards
Experience managing electronic design files and assembling drawing/model submission packages
Experience running multidiscipline design coordination meetings for clash detection Site inspection and surveying experience

- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $78,000.00 - $115,000.00.
