Job Description
AECOM has a unique opportunity for a passionate and motivated leader who would enjoy working with an industry-leading team on a broad range of city-shaping infrastructure projects, as well as influencing and leading strategy development and execution to achieve business success.
This Director level role is the leadership position for our market leading bridges and underground structures business across the VSA region. Based in Melbourne, this role sits on the Civil Infrastructure Leadership team - VSA and is responsible for Structures Team culture, performance, staff, clients, and projects. Drawing on your design and major project delivery experience you will have a desire to lead and build a structures team servicing both major infrastructure projects and key clients. You also have a passion for developing and operationalising strategy to achieve business results. As a strong collaborator you work well with teams at multiple levels, drawing on your leadership, client service, and technical experience.
In this role, you will:
Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.
Create, maintain, and lead high-performing engaged teams through effective communication, feedback, and support of all team members.
Provide technical and commercial governance across a portfolio of projects to meet client requirements.
Adopt Project Director Roles to support project teams and nurture client relationships.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients/customers.
Ensure delivery of projects by AECOM’s Project Delivery Framework requirements.
Work with peers and senior leaders to develop and drive implementation of business strategy.
Connect with ANZ peers to support workshare and successful client outcomes.
Connect our team to global technical leaders to support project positioning and client experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in managing major transport infrastructure projects in a structure’s capacity and meeting delivery requirements
Experience in successfully leading and developing project teams
Demonstrated commercial acumen, and the ability to develop a strong client base
Knowledge of the market for consulting services
An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results and grow the team.
Collaborative; willing to share knowledge, experience, ideas, and expertise for the betterment of group and self
Strong client focus with business development experience
Project margin and cost utilisation experience
BE with 15+ years of relevant experience
