Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Deputy Airport Logistics Manager to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a deputy for the Airport Logistics Manager when needed, assisting in the supervision and coordination of construction activities.

  • Assists the Airport Logistics Manager to:

  • Oversee the Logistics team to ensure efficient and timely coordination of logistics across the program in an airport environment.

  • Develop and implement governance structures and processes for effective logistics management.

  • Collaborate with Program Leads, the Interface Management Group, and other shared services to coordinate program activities.

  • Proactively identify potential logistics challenges or conflicts and recommend corrective actions.

  • Review and provide feedback on design plans and technical documents concerning constructability and logistics.

  • Contribute to program scheduling by offering expertise on activity sequencing, constraints, and durations.

  • Offer technical support for change management processes.

  • Deliver executive and management-level reports to address issues and track information trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:

  • No less than a University Degree + 8 years of professional experience in logistics, including in a logistics-related leadership role.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Relevant professional designations are considered an asset.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in logistics, with several years in a logistics-related leadership role.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience on large airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs exceeding CAD $500M.

  • Proven expertise in site logistics, traffic management, site coordination, and material and equipment delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver integrated logistics solutions for complex projects and programs.

  • Strong technical proficiency across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, with a preference for large-scale programs or projects.

  • Extensive experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic-level reporting to support effective decision-making.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with large groups.

Additional Information

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00.
