Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Manager, Health and Safety Incident Investigation to join our team. This position is based out of Mississauga and will require someone to work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
Major Responsibilities:
Leads investigations into all recordable incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and contributing factors, ensuring measures are in place to prevent recurrence.
Identifies, shares, and implements lessons learned across the program to enhance safety performance.
Raises awareness of safety hazards and fosters a proactive approach to risk mitigation through clear communication, resourcefulness, and transparency.
Develops, manages, and continuously improves the health and safety management system.
Oversees and ensures compliance with construction safety requirements at the program level.
Analyzes health and safety reports and data to identify trends, detect early warning signs of potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Collects and compiles health and safety statistics to meet reporting obligations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
- No less than a University Degree + 8 years of direct on-site safety management experience and health and safety practices.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Formal education in Health and Safety, or equivalent training and experience
10 years of direct on-site safety management experience and health and safety practices
Extensive experience in airport development construction projects
Injury management experience
Field safety auditing and investigation experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills to examine incidents and problems, detect root causes, and resolve issues.
Additional Information
This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $105,000.00 - $145,000.00.
